Living Water in this Desert

Hours passed without the warmth of human interaction. Months passed as an empty vessel challenged its carrier. Finally, cries arose and prayers ascended. Desperation shouted and the heart waited. The lens focused onto the higher purpose, the eyes focused on the real yet unseen Jehovah Shalom. Answers came as a gentle voice of direction and reassurance. Answers came as another sojourner told of a gathering of others the same as she. Hunger reached out to be filled. To receive hope, rising and living she was greeted by a mentor, an encourager, an enthusiastic woman of God.

The curtains parted effortlessly revealing the quiet yet powerful scene. Hundreds of worshippers. Praises uniting, communion abiding. Words of direction and confirmation, words of life, birthing life, words of love, imparting love.

For the hungry, thirsty soul, for the strong and lively spirit, for the tender, open heart and for her earthly aging body. Yes, you will live, and thrive and continue growing.

Life has come to the passenger. Hope renewed and spirit strengthened.

Praises flow forth like a fountain and it's spray showers the dancers...living water in this desert, yes, living water in this desert...life instead of death.

Hallelujah!
